A little about me
I feel that the more time spent outside the better off you are. Put down the phone, step away from the computer, turn off the tube and get outside—even if it’s for a simple walk on your local trails. I’m not going to go on about how such and such studies show that getting outside is healthy. You know that already.
Fishing was my first passion growing up. Then came running, mountain biking, backpacking, Nordic skiing, backcountry ski touring and finally the latest, stand-up paddleboarding. I’ve been fortunate to have a ton of fun trips over the years and there’s more planned in the months ahead. I don’t feel right unless there is something on the horizon to look forward to and plan for.
I’ve lived in Maine for only 21 years, so to locals I’m still “from away” and always will be. That’s okay, it’s a great place to be if you love the outdoors. And in those 21 years I’ve barely scraped through the surface of all this great state has to offer. Hopefully the best is yet to come.
Love your adventures Tom! Keep ’em coming! –

That cover photo looks familiar. Please don’t forget to review relevant fried clam takeout joints wherever possible. All the best Maine adventures can involve fried clams – if you know where to look. Best of luck, Tom. Bill
